Mixtapes have always been a massive part of me as an artist. When I play a live DJ set it’s usually peak time and I cater the music for the dance floor. When I make a mixtape you get the whole of me.
For me it’s about going on a journey… Exploring music, the tiny details, the intricate mixing, you can put your style across in a completely unique and personal way and I love that.
I spent days searching for the beats to include in this mix. It was important for me to use a wide range of music from new and unheard exclusives, current tracks, older tracks as well as some classics that both influenced me through the years and that I still drop in sets today to great effect. Music really is timeless and I wanted this mix to be exactly that.
This Essential Mix is a full representation of my sound and style at this time in my career and was an absolute honour to make.
